On the 2nd Thursday of every month we have our traditional V-drinks to have a beer and a chat with your fellow students. This event is hosted in PSOR, the pub within the Faculty of Civil Engineering, or TB-Café at TPM. This is the perfect opportunity to have a beer with friends, get to know new people and have fun! Currently, due to Covid-19, the V-Drinks are tentatively cancelled.
Organized once every 2 years this is the opportunity for our Alumni members to re-connect with their colleagues and expand their network. We value the fact that our members want to stay connected to us and to each other after graduation, which is why this event is so important. It does not only fulfill our goal of providing members with valuable connections but it also allows us to understand how the market reacts to our students once they graduate.
Organised bi-weekly, its a good opportunity for our members to get together and get refreshed by sipping coffee or tea in their busy schedule of academic life. It is usually conducted outside HoK (4.08), but, currently due to covid-19, its organised online.
A series of webinars are organised to bridge the gap between the alumni and the students. The alumni members share their work and graduation experiences and, provide suggestions which help the students in their career planning.
Introduction Weeks Program
Starting your Masters can be an exciting time but also an overwhelming one. It is for this reason that every semester (February/September) we hold a 2 week long program filled with fun activities and excursions so that you can meet your new colleagues and get acquainted with our association. This September, the activities are being organised online and offline. Some of the activities are meet and greet, lunch activity and interest dinner.
A perfect way to get to know partners in an informal setting during dinner. Organized once a year, members are invited to join a dinner with 4-5 companies. Every course is seated a different company. Participants are selected based on their CV by the visiting companies. As a result both parties, members and partners are interested in each other and can get acquainted in a nice setting. In general partners attend with both employees who have a similar position as the members would have in the direct future as well as with employees of a managerial level in order to give more information about the company and the way projects are handled. Although not the initial intention when conceived, the company-dinner has become a place where possible clients and contractors meet each other as well.
